About Us

Greg Bowman

Received his BA in Social Education from Salisbury State College and MA in Recreation Administration from the University of Maryland. A U.S. Army veteran, he has been a lifelong educator, coach, and camp administrator for nearly 50 years. In his spare time, Greg enjoys exercising, reading, listening to various music genres, and telling corny jokes. He hopes this book elevates the awareness of blessing and gratitude, and perpetuates the "sense of wonder" in all who read it. Currently, Greg is a World Religions teacher at 'Iolani School.

Alan Suemori

Received his BA in English and History from Columbia University and his MA in Education from the University of Hawai'i. Along with Wendell Silva and Shuzo Uemoto, he co-authored "Nana | Na Loea Hula," a compilation of traditional hula resources in Hawai'i. Alan has taught English and History at 'Iolani School for the past twenty-nine years.

Jamie Meckel Tablason

Loves illustrating for children and the young at heart. Through whimsical imagery and engaging characters, she hopes to connect with her audience and inspire everyone to tell their own stories. Some of Jamie's favorite things to paint and draw are yummy foods, weird animals, topical vibes, old houses, and cool cars. She received her BFA and MFA in Illustration from CSU Long Beach, School of Art. She currently works and lives in Lakewood, CA, with her husband and their two dogs.
